Privacy policy

The data controller is the owner of the site: a private individual who owns the domain 1astro.net. The same person sells the subscription under the subscription terms.

Your name and the date, time and place of birth are sent to the server in the request body, processed in memory and returned to you in the response. They are not written to disk and are not recorded in the access log.

The result page is served with caching disabled: neither the browser nor an intermediate server stores it.

The “Share” button puts the data into the part of the link after the # sign. The browser does not send this part to the server, so only the person you gave the link to will see the chart.

If you sent the “Email me the chart and forecast” form, we store: your name, email, phone number, the page language, birth data (date, time and place), the page the form was sent from and the time the email was sent. Along with these, your consent: the version of its text, the time, and whether you allowed us to send you offers.

Purpose: to send you an email with the chart and forecast; that same email will include a subscription offer. The phone number is needed to contact you about this request if the email does not arrive. We make no advertising calls and send no advertising messages to your phone.

We send offers by email only if you separately ticked “Send me 1astro offers and news”. This box is optional: the form works the same without it. You can unsubscribe from offers with the link in each of our emails.

Legal basis: your consent, which you give with the checkbox in the form. You can withdraw it at any time; processing carried out before withdrawal remains lawful.

How long we keep it: until you withdraw consent or ask us to delete the data, but no longer than two years from the day the form was sent. If you subscribe, this data becomes part of your subscriber account.

So that the form is not used to send emails to strangers, we count sends: no more than 5 an hour from one IP address and 3 an hour to one email address. For this we keep, for one hour, not the IP address and email themselves but their fingerprints (a hash with a secret salt), then delete them. This is our legitimate interest: protection against abuse.

For a subscriber we keep an account: email, name, phone number, language, birth data, the city for daily emails, time zone, email settings (whether to send the daily emails and the overview of the week) and creation date. Linked to it are the subscription details (the WayForPay order number, the result and date of each payment, status, the date it is paid up to) and an email log: which email was sent, when, and with what result. We also keep the boxes you ticked before paying: your acceptance of the subscription terms and, if you ticked it, your request to start right away, with the date and time.

Purpose: to calculate your forecast and calendar feed, send daily emails at 06:00 in your time zone and a weekly overview on Mondays, let you into your account and know whether the subscription is paid.

Legal basis: performance of the subscription contract, that is, the subscription terms. Without this data the subscription cannot be provided.

How long we keep it: while the subscription is active and for 12 months after it ends, so that you can renew without entering your data again; then the account is deleted. We will delete it earlier at your request. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires: the seller is legally obliged to keep them. If the payment never went through when subscribing, we delete the account after 2 days.

Subscription payments are handled by the payment service WayForPay (WAY FOR PAY Financial Company LLC, Ukraine, EDRPOU code 39626179). You enter your card details on the WayForPay page; the site never sees or stores the card number. So that you do not have to type it again, the site passes your email to WayForPay.

Of what WayForPay sends us, we keep only what the subscription needs: the order number, the result and date of each payment and the date the subscription is paid up to.

WayForPay processes payment data under its own rules and Ukrainian law, that is, outside the EU; the rules are published on the WayForPay website.

There is no password: to sign in, we email you a link. It is valid for 15 minutes and works once; the server stores not the link itself but its fingerprint.

After you sign in, the site sets one session cookie. It is strictly necessary: without it the site would not know it is you on the next page. It holds none of your data, only a random session number, and it is not used for advertising or statistics. It lasts no longer than 30 days; you can sign out earlier.

Visitors who have not signed in get no cookies. A strictly necessary cookie does not require consent, so there is no consent banner. The site does not load third-party analytics or advertising networks.

The background video pause and the chosen chart style are kept in the browser’s own storage and are not sent to the server.

We send: the email with the chart and forecast from the form, sign-in links, daily and weekly forecasts to subscribers, payment notifications and, if you agreed, offers.

Emails are sent from the site’s own server, without third-party mailing services. After that, the email is kept by your mail provider under its own rules.

Daily and weekly emails and offers contain an unsubscribe link. Sign-in links and payment notifications are sent only when they are needed.

A subscriber gets a personal calendar feed at a secret link. The feed contains the dates and texts of the forecast events calculated from your birth data.

Anyone who has the link can see the feed. If you added it to your calendar, for example Google Calendar, that service receives the contents of the feed and keeps them under its own rules. We ourselves send nothing to Google.

Do not forward the link to other people. If that happens, issue a new link on the account page or write to us: the old link will stop working at once.

If you left your email, we store the address itself, the page language, the date and time of sign-up, the version of the consent text and a token for unsubscribing.

Purpose: to write to you when the detailed forecast is ready. This is a single email, and it will contain an unsubscribe link. We send no other emails and do not pass the address on to anyone.

How long we keep it: until we write to you about the forecast launch or until you delete the address yourself. We have no exact period in days.

The city and date are part of the panchang page address: this is not personal data, and such a link can be shared.

As on any website, the server logs requests: the page address, time, IP address and browser name. Form contents are not recorded in the log.

The log is needed to find failures and protect the server from attacks: this is our legitimate interest. Entries are kept for a limited period and then deleted.

Only those without whom the service cannot work:

• WayForPay (WAY FOR PAY Financial Company LLC, Ukraine), for subscription payments (see “Payment”);
• the calendar service you chose yourself, for example Google, and only if you added your feed to it;
• your mail provider, which receives the emails addressed to you;
• the hosting provider from which the site’s server is rented: the data is stored on that server.

No one else. We do not sell data or pass it to advertising networks. Public authorities receive it only where the law expressly requires.

At any time you can:

• find out what data about you we keep and get a copy of it;
• correct inaccurate data;
• have your data deleted, except payment records that the seller is required by law to keep;
• withdraw your consent to storing the form data or to receiving offers;
• lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority of the country where you live or work.

The address for such requests is not yet given here. You can delete your waitlist address and the data of the “email me” form yourself with the form below.

You can unsubscribe from daily emails and offers without writing to us, with the link in the email. The subscription is cancelled with the “Cancel subscription” button on your account page. You can delete a subscriber account yourself on the account page.

The date of the last change is shown at the top of the page. We will write in advance about significant changes to subscribers and to those who sent the form.

Enter the address and we will delete it from the waitlist together with every “email me” form sent to this address, including the name, phone number and birth data. The link in the waitlist email deletes only the waitlist address, and the “unsubscribe” link in the forecast email only withdraws consent to offers.
